Back at the start of this year, a youth in Centre Wellington reported to police they were receiving threatening messages on Instagram.The youth told police the messages were coming from someone they knew.After an extensive investigation spanning several months, police determined the complainant had in fact sent the messages to themselves and misled investigators.As a result, a 16-year-old from Centre Wellington has been charged. The accused is scheduled to appear at court in Guelph.
