Around 3 p.m. April 16th, Wellington County OPP responded to a collision between an SUV and a cyclist on County Road 12 between County Road 8 and Twelfth Line in Mapleton.]The cyclist, an 81-year-old from Hamilton, was taken to hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The driver of the SUV was uninjured. Police are continuing to investigate with the assistance of the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.
