Last Friday morning(March 24th), Huron County OPP received a report of a break, enter and mischief to a motel on Bayfield Road.
Police learned a male had been found sleeping in one of the rooms without paying. Further inspection revealed the suspect had forced his way into the room through a window, causing damage.The suspect left before police arrived; but motel staff had photographs and video.The suspect was spotted in Goderich soon after, and arrested. During a search, weapons, break and enter tools, and stolen property were found.A 32-year-old of no fixed address faces over a dozen charges.The accused was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody, with a court appearance scheduled on April 4th.
