Dust off those blue suede shoes for an Elvis-themed movie night at the Wellington County Museum and Archives on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and tickets are $10 per person. Enjoy free pop and popcorn as you watch the 2022 Elvis film, or have candy and a Coca-Cola or root beer float for $5 each.
Following the movie, join Rick Clark as he highlights the history of Elvis Presley and his favourite beverage, in the latest installation of the Wellington County Collects exhibit series, “Cola Goes Better with Elvis: The Rick Clark Collection.”
The exhibit, which runs until January 14, 2024, features a colouring wall and an area to listen to Elvis’ music and learn about the different albums on display.
Wellington County Collects is a community programme the Museum launched in 2013, featuring collections from residents. The programme supports the museum’s mandate to tell the stories of people, places, and events in the county, and involve members of the community in the exhibition development process.
