Five charged after OPP search in Walkerton

The OPP Community Street Crimes Unit, South Bruce OPP, West Region OPP Tactical Rescue Unit and West Region OPP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence along Amelia Street in Walkerton yesterday.
Police seized a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, oxycodone, lysergic acid and ecstasy. The estimated value of the seized controlled substances is $192,340.
Police also seized offence-related property including cash, cell phones, tablets, scales, a handgun, a replica shotgun and two replica handguns. The value of the seized property is estimated to be $12,855.
A 40-year-old from Brockton was charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking; unauthorized possession of a firearm; possess a firearm contrary to a prohibition order; careless use of a firearm; possessing a prohibited or restricted firearm; and possessing a prohibited weapon.
The accused was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
A 63-year-old from Brockton was charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking; unauthorized possession of a firearm; careless use of a firearm; possessing a prohibited or restricted firearm; and possessing a prohibited weapon.
A 24-year-old from Brockton was charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking; unauthorized possession of a firearm; careless use of a firearm; possessing a prohibited or restricted firearm; and possessing a prohibited weapon.
The accused was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
A 57-year-old from West Grey was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
The accused will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
A 43-year-old from West Grey was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
The accused will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
