Guelph police say a man is facing several charges after teens playing hide-and-seek were allegedly chased by someone with a machete.
Police say they were called on Saturday night to a townhouse complex after two teens — aged 14 and 15 — were confronted by a man they didn’t know who was holding a machete.
They say the teens ran away but were chased by the man who then damaged the door of a townhouse unit by repeatedly kicking it.
Police say a 35-year-old Guelph man is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief under five-thousand-dollars. (The Canadian Press)
