Grey Bruce OPP would like to make the public aware of a situation yesterday afternoon which led to a heavy police presence.
Around 3:15 p.m. yesterday, officers responded to the area of Grey Road 9 and Southgate Sideroad 3 for a report of threats made, possibly involving a firearm. Investigation led to the area of Grey Road 9 being closed between Southgate Sideroad 47 and Southgate Sideroad 49 for public safety.
Around 4:45 p.m., a person was taken into custody.
There is no longer a threat to public safety, and more details will be released once they become available.
