The Mount Forest District Chamber of Commerce held their annual Awards of Excellence presentations last night, in public for the first time since 2019, at the Legion Hall in Mount Forest.
The Citizen of the Year Award was presented to Joe Wettlaufer for his outstanding community engagement work, and multiple volunteer commitments.
One nominator said, “He is the epitome of what a Citizen of the Year should be.”
The Young Citizen of the Year Award went to siblings Autumn and Nathan Warner, for their volunteer work with the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival Committee, among other endeavors.
Amanda Boylan, owner of Stumbled Upon and Kids Corner, won the Arny Feairs Customer Service Award.
Bill Nelson and his team at Coldwell Banker / WIN Realty won the Corporate Citizen of the Year Award.
