Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff is looking for nominations of deserving Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound residents for the King’s Coronation Medal.
In honour of His Majesty King Charles III’s coronation as The King of Canada, the Government of Canada has minted 30,000 Coronation Medals, the first Canadian commemorative medal to mark the coronation. The government has allocated 20 medals to each Member of Parliament to recognize deserving Canadians.
Ruff will be accepting nominations for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound residents who have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region of, or community in, Canada, or attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada. Candidates may only be awarded one Coronation Medal. As well, this medal can be awarded posthumously as long as the recipient was alive on May 6, 2023, the date of The King’s coronation.
Ruff said, “I look forward to recognizing 20 very deserving constituents who have made a difference in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound with the special Coronation Medal.”
Constituents of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound can be nominated by completing the form online at alexruffmp.ca/coronationmedal.
Submissions will be accepted until September 2nd.
