One person has died following a two-vehicle collision in Mono Saturday morning.
Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, there was a serious collision involving a transport truck and an SUV at County Road 16 and Blind Line in Mono. The driver was extracted, and life-saving measures were attempted.
Sadly, measures were not successful, and as a result of the collision, an 82-year-old female from Shelburne was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The lone passenger in the same vehicle was taken to hospital, and later airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.
County Road 16 was closed while officers completed their investigation.
