Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is asking the public for help to find the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident in Mount Forest last Wednesday.
Around 11:30 in the morning, a young woman was bitten by a black and white brindle on Queen St. in Mount Forest. The owner of the dog was described as a short, older man with white hair, no facial hair and a limp.
The dog reportedly bit the young woman numerous times as she intervened between it and a smaller dog.
WDG Public Health inspectors need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
