Wellington Guelph Drug Strategy partner organizations will gather to remember lives lost in Mount Forest next Thursday at noon.
The annual event, held in alignment with International Overdose Awareness Day, will run from noon to 1 p.m. at King St. and Main Street. There will be pizza available.
Members of the community who have been impacted, have lost a loved one, or are concerned about the on-going drug poisoning crisis in the community are all invited.
The group says unpredictable supply is a key factor in drug poisoning incidents in Guelph and Wellington.
In Guelph and Wellington County, 2023 had the highest number of substance related fatalities on record with 62.
