The Minto Arts Council presents its next show, ‘Soon to be Forgotten’, opening from March 7th to March 31st. The Opening Night Artists’ Reception will be held on Thursday, March 9th from 6:30 to 8 p.m., for a chance to meet the artist.info@mintoartscouncil.ca or call 519 338-2497. The Gallery is located on the second floor of the Harriston Public Library at 88 Mill Street.
This will be the first solo art show by Jessica McKenzie. Depicting portraits of animals on the endangered species list, McKenzie hopes it will allow viewers to engage in meaningful reflection about the impact of human beings and the power of our actions. McKenzie has made a commitment to donate half of her profits from this show to the World Wildlife Fund in an effort to help endangered animals around the world. McKenzie is a French-Canadian artist currently residing in the Waterloo region. McKenzie believes she can engage people and offer them an opportunity to reflect on the state of the world.
