Dufferin OPP charged a driver with impaired after hitting a pedestrian in Grand Valley Monday.Early Monday evening, police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle which failed to remain at the scene, in Grand Valley.The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.Officers found the vehicle and driver, and were led into an impaired investigation.A 33-year-old from Grand Valley faces several charges.The accused is scheduled to appear at court in Orangeville in June. Their licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for one week.——-——-South Bruce OPP charged two impaired drivers over the weekend, almost twenty-four hours apart.Early Sunday morning, South Bruce OPP got a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Concession 4 in Huron.Officers found the vehicle, and the driver was arrested and taken for breath tests.A 22-year-old from South Huron was charged with impaired, and is scheduled to appear in court on July 5.Earlier in the weekend, a R.I.D.E. program in Walkerton stopped and charged an 18-year-old from Arran-Elderslie, also with impaired driving. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on June 28.
