The wife of a Wellington County OPP officer facing sexual assault charges has been charged in connection with the illegal release of unlawfully obtained conversations.
Last Thursday, a document was sent to three senior members of the OPP. An audio recording of confidential conversations had been illegally obtained in 2020 and a transcription of the recording was created. 55-year-old Brenda Dolderman of Elora was convicted earlier this year after pleading guilty to Obstruction of Justice. Yesterday, after an investigation into the delivery of the document, the OPP charged Dolderman with Disclosure of Private Communication. The accused was released, with an appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph scheduled for March 14. The OPP said no further information can be released due to the ongoing court proceedings.
