The Township of Wellington North Volunteer Appreciation and Newcomer Welcome was held April 20th in Arthur.The event opened with comments from Wellington North CAO Brooke Lambert, followed by remarks from Mayor Andy Lennox.Lennox said, “Volunteers are the fabric that holds our community together.”Around 28 different local groups and organizations were on hand to chat with both volunteers and those who have recently moved to the area. The event at the Arthur & Area Community Centre was well attended.Also during the event, Lennox announced Bonnie McDougall as the Wellington North Senior of the Year for her years of service to the community.
