Saugeen Conservation announced yesterday, work will begin at Allan Park Conservation Area in Hanover on Monday. The project will focus on removing trees infested with emerald ash borer, and forest health.
SVCA will be removing ash trees that have been affected by emerald ash borer. This invasive species has devastated ash populations across Ontario, and had a significant impact on Allan Park. Saugeen Conservation’s team of forestry staff will oversee the project. Portions of the property will be closed to the public during the work. It’s anticipated work will be completed by the end of March, weather permitting.
